Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII

My Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII (#ad) is Level 90 and Crystal Level 90. His 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, and BT are fully MLB. His Ex is at Ex+ 3/3 or Purple. His Burst weapon has been upgraded to BT+ 3/3 or Green.

image

Seph’s currently equipped with a Level 5 of 5 Greatsword Ultima Weapon. His High Armor’s been upgraded to Blue. His Summon Boards, Character Enhancement Boards, and Force Enhancements have been completed. He has his Bloom Stone.

Sephi has 3 Attack 108 with Max Brave 330 Artifacts and 3 Attack 108 with One-Winged Angel Boost★★ (Raises INT BRV, MAX BRV, ATK, DEF by 5% if HP is MAX at start of last wave) Artifacts.

image

Sephiroth is equipped with the following real A Spheres:

  • Edgar Roni Figaro’s (from Final Fantasy VI) Debuff Power

Increases BRV damage dealt by 10% while an enemy is debuffed

  • Cloud Strife’s (from Final Fantasy VII) Critical Power

Raises BRV damage dealt with critical hits by 10%

  • Vayne Carudas Solidor’s (from Final Fantasy XII) Broken Power

When attacking target afflicted with Break:
• Increases BRV damage dealt by 10%

I talk more about this in other posts, but I’ve been using Sephiroth for Lufenia (level 200) and Lufenia+ (level 250) quests basically ever since I got his LD and BT even back when he wasn’t that good at all. I’d like to keep using him even for Shinryu quests.

Play Bittersweet For Me (Intersecting Wills) Shinryu Quest

Also known as Play Bittersweet For Me Pt. 14 SHINRYU. This fight has 1 wave with 2 enemies, the Krakens.

The main gimmick of this fight is that the enemies here need to be defeated at the same time otherwise they will be revived at full HP.

For this fight, my team was Sephiroth, Rinoa Heartilly from Final Fantasy VIII, and Lunafreya Nox Fleuret from Final Fantasy XV with The Brothers as my summon.

image

My Calls were Cid Raines’s from Final Fantasy XIII, Raijin’s from Final Fantasy VIII, and Ashelia B’nargin Dalmasca’s from Final Fantasy XII.

My Rinoa and Lunafreya are as fully built as my Sephiroth except they also have their own fully MLB Force weapons.

My Rinoa is also equipped with my Level 5 of 5 Special or Unique-type Ultima Weapon.

The enemies here greatly resist all weapon types. They also have innate +70% non-elemental BRV damage resist.

Once the enemies go down to 69% to 40% HP, they will trigger Counter Black Inkcloud every time a char deals fire, ice, lightning, water, earth, and/or wind elemental BRV damage.

Counter Black Inkcloud deals single target brave damage while also inflicting 2 turns of the blind debuff on its target.

Ashe’s LD Call enchants the party and imperils enemies with the holy and lightning elements. I brought Ashe’s Call because I thought I needed the holy enchant.

As it turned out though, any elemental enchant was fine since that was enough to bypass the resistances of the enemies.

Lunafreya also enchants the party and imperils enemies but her element is ice. With her FR, she can also enchant and imperil the water element.

Sephiroth got the first turn. Had him use Ashe’s LD Call, his Additional Ability, and then his BT+ finisher, Heaven’s Light.

image

One of the effects of Sephiroth’s BT+ was that it will set the brave of all enemies to 1 for 4 turns. This makes it easy to just keep on breaking and delaying them.

On Lunafreya’s turn, had her use Raijin’s LD Call. Raijin’s LD Call inflicts all enemies with a debuff that will prevent them from dealing HP damage and/or debuffing my chars for 2 turns.

Afterwards, just spammed Lunafreya’s instant turn rate skills to quickly get my force gauge fully charged to 100%.

When my force gauge was nearing 100%, had Lunafreya use her Ex, LD, Additional Ability, and BT+ finisher. Also made sure that she gave Rinoa the buff that would give her (Rinoa) 3 turns in a row.

By the time it was Rinoa’s turn, my force gauge was fully charged. Had her use Raines’s LD Call. This will allow her to initiate launches for 2 turns.

Then I had Rinoa use her FR and her BT+ finisher. When I went into Rinoa’s Burst+ phase, have 9 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 166%. The Krakens were down to 90% and 89% HP.

image

One of the effects of Rinoa’s BT+ is that it will turn her HP attack into this move called Ultima (Angel Wing). This deals a lot of AoE damage so just had Rinoa spam this attack.

Raines’s LD Call ensured that Rinoa got to launch every time she moved. The problem was that I forgot that Lunafreya’s BT+ doesn’t automatically battery the party so my chars didn’t always have any brave to dump during these launches.

If only I’d brought a battery Call instead of Ashe’s, would have been able to deal more damage.

As it was, by the time Rinoa was about to cast Wings of the Heart, her finishing Burst+ move, the enemies were only down to 45% and 46% HP. Have 3 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 664%.

image

Rinoa’s attack took the Krakens down to 37% and 39% HP. Now have 2 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 707%.

image

After Rinoa’s Burst+ mode ended, the enemies used Counter Black Inkcloud on her. She got broken but Raijin’s LD Call debuff prevented her from being blinded.

It was now Lunafreya’s turn. Switched her out for the friend support Terra Branford from Final Fantasy VI that I borrowed.

Terra’s a magical, non-elemental DPS. The main reason why I borrowed her is because she’s currently one of only 2 chars who have this new game mechanic or feature known as Force Boards.

This includes Force Echoes. Basically, what this means is that, even though Rinoa’s FR is currently active right now, I can still use Terra’s FR. Doing this won’t overwrite the active FR.

This will deal a lot of damage while also increasing the HP damage bonus by a high amount.

So right after bringing in Terra, I summoned The Brothers. The on-entry attack of The Brothers took the enemies down to 36% and 38% HP.

image

Had Terra use Ring of Rose and Crimson, her FR ability. This has instant turn rate so Terra got to move again.

Terra’s FR ability took the Krakens down to 19% and 21% HP. The HP damage bonus was now at 770% but I still have 2 turns of force time left.

image

That’s another effect of this new Force Boards and Echoes feature. If you use a Force ability or echo during a char’s active force time, the remaining turns of force time won’t decrease.

So I used Terra’s FR again. This took the Krakens down to 1% and 3% HP. The HP damage bonus was now at 833% and still have 2 turns of force time left.

image

Terra was now all out of uses of her Force ability so this time I had her use Chaos Wave, her LD ability.

This was more than enough to finish off both bosses at the same time, ending the battle on turn 3.

image

Got the score and all the other mission requirements. This fight was pretty easy. And it was fun getting to try out the new Force Boards and Force Echoes feature.

Play Bittersweet For Me (Intersecting Wills) Shinryu Quest with Kuja

There’s a time-limited mission that wants us to clear the Play Bittersweet For Me (Intersecting Wills) Shinryu quest with Kuja from Final Fantasy IX in our party and without using a friend support.

For this fight, my team was Rinoa, Kuja, and Sherlotta from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time with The Brothers as my summon.

image

My Calls were Cid Raines’s, Raijin’s, and Seymour Guado’s from Final Fantasy X.

Seymour’s Calls inflicts enemies with multiple debuffs. His LD Call can also delay all the enemies by 2 turns as well as dispel all of their buffs.

My Sherlotta is as fully built as my Rinoa except I don’t have another Special-type Ultima Weapon to give to her so she’s currently equipped with her BT+ 3/3 weapon.

Sherlotta is a really good support, buffer, and healer. She has a few instant turn rate moves which buff the party and make the force gauge charge faster.

Have Kuja’s 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, and BT fully MLB. Missing his FR. His Ex has been Purpled. Haven’t bothered to even Realize his Burst.

Kuja has his High Armor, and it’s been Realized to 0/3. He has his Bloom Stone. He has triple perfect Artifacts and triple real Spheres.

All of Kuja’s Summon Boards and Character Enhancement Boards have been completed. He doesn’t have any of his Force Enhancements.

Kuja is a mix between a support and a DPS. He can enchant the party and imperil enemies with the holy element. He’s boosted for this fight.

Brought a friend support Lunafreya but have no intention of bringing her into battle. Just borrowed her because she has max Force Enhancements.

Not sure if having a friend with max Force Enhancements will help make my force gauge charge faster even if they aren’t brought into battle but thought I’d give it a try anyway just in case. LOL.

Anyway, when the fight started, had Kuja enchant the party and imperil enemies with the holy element. Had Sherlotta spam her instant turn rate skills to quickly get my force gauge to 100%. Also made use of Seymour’s and Raijin’s Calls.

When my force gauge was nearing 100%, had Sherlotta use her Additional Ability then her BT+ finisher.

Once my force gauge was fully charged, had Rinoa activate her FR and her BT+ finisher. Also had her use Raines’s LD Call and her Additional Ability.

On Rinoa’s next turn, went into her Burst+ phase already. By then have 8 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 208%. The Krakens were down to 90% and 89% HP.

image

One of the effects of Sherlotta’s BT+ is that it will battery the party so this time everyone always had max brave to dump every time Rinoa launched an enemy.

By the time Rinoa was about to cast Wings of the Heart, have 2 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 706%. The Krakens were down to 37% and 34% HP.

image

Summoned The Brothers right after Rinoa’s BT+ phase ended. The on-entry attack of The Brothers took the Krakens down to 28% and 25% HP. Now only have 1 turn of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 749%.

image

It was Sherlotta’s turn. IIRC, had her use Crystal Ray, her LD ability, and this took the enemies down to 14% and 18% HP.

When Sherlotta got to move again, spammed the rest of her instant turn rate skills to get my force gauge back up to 100% again.

By the time I got to activate Rinoa’s FR again, the enemies were down to 4% and 5% HP. Their force gauge was at 64.7%.

Soon, the enemies were down to 1% HP. It was Rinoa who finished them both off at the same time, ending the battle on turn 13. By then have 8 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 248%.

image

Got the score and all the other mission requirements. IIRC, the enemies got to move a few times but they didn’t really do anything all that dangerous.

image

Kuja did well in enchanting the party. And his damage wasn’t that bad either. Well, he is boosted here.
