Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII

My Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII (#ad) is Level 90 and Crystal Level 90. His 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, and BT are fully MLB. His Ex is at Ex+ 3/3 or Purple. His Burst weapon has been upgraded to BT+ 3/3 or Green.

image

Seph’s currently equipped with a Level 5 of 5 Greatsword Ultima Weapon. His High Armor’s been upgraded to Blue. His Summon Boards, Character Enhancement Boards, and Force Enhancements have been completed. He has his Bloom Stone.

Sephi has 3 Attack 108 with Max Brave 330 Artifacts and 3 Attack 108 with One-Winged Angel Boost★★ (Raises INT BRV, MAX BRV, ATK, DEF by 5% if HP is MAX at start of last wave) Artifacts.

image

Sephiroth is equipped with the following real A Spheres:

  • Edgar Roni Figaro’s (from Final Fantasy VI) Debuff Power

Increases BRV damage dealt by 10% while an enemy is debuffed

  • Cloud Strife’s (from Final Fantasy VII) Critical Power

Raises BRV damage dealt with critical hits by 10%

  • Vayne Carudas Solidor’s (from Final Fantasy XII) Broken Power

When attacking target afflicted with Break:
• Increases BRV damage dealt by 10%

I talk more about this in other posts, but I’ve been using Sephiroth for Lufenia (level 200) and Lufenia+ (level 250) quests basically ever since I got his LD and BT even back when he wasn’t that good at all. I’d like to keep using him even for Shinryu quests.

Advent of the Dragon King (Bahamut Raid) Shinryu Quest Take 1

Also known as Advent of the Dragon King SHINRYU. This fight has 1 wave with 3 enemies, Bahamut and his 2 minions, the Dragonstars.

The minions will automatically be revived every time they’re killed. They have 25 million HP each while Bahamut has 200 million HP.

Bahamut is immune to turn deletes and delays, except via break. However, once the force gauge of the enemies reaches 30%, their brave will no longer go below 5% of their max brave.

As soon as the fight starts, Bahamut will gain 90% BRV damage resistance to non-elemental attacks. He will also become greatly resistant to physical attacks.

For this fight, my team was Sephiroth, Garnet Til Alexandros XVII from Final Fantasy IX, and Penelo from Final Fantasy XII with Pandemonium as my summon.

image

My Calls were Raijin’s from Final Fantasy VIII, Lunafreya Nox Fleuret’s from Final Fantasy XV, and Cid Raines’s from Final Fantasy XIII.

My Penelo and Garnet are as built as my Sephiroth except they also have their own fully MLB Force weapons.

Garnet also has all of her Force Boards completed so she has access to her Force Echoes. Penelo and Sephiroth don’t have this feature yet.

Penelo and Garnet are supports slash buffers slash healers. Garnet can enchant the party and imperil enemies with the water and lightning elements. Penelo can remove the party’s debuffs.

My Penelo is currently equipped with my Level 5 of 5 Dagger Ultima Weapon. A fully maxed out Penelo is capable of dealing really good damage, especially when given the appropriate buffs and auras and such so gonna be making use of her as my main DPS for this fight.

Garnet got the first turn. Had her use both of her base skills. Was gonna use her Additional Ability too but I forgot to tap on it before using her second skill.

Sephiroth got to move next. Had him use Raijin’s LD Call. Raijin’s LD Call inflicts all enemies with a debuff that will prevent them from dealing HP damage and/or debuffing my chars for 2 turns.

Then I had Sephiroth use his Additional Ability followed by his BT+ finisher. One of the effects of Sephiroth’s BT+ is that it will set the brave of all enemies to 1 for 4 turns.

On Penelo’s turn, had her spam her instant turn rate skills to quickly get my force gauge to 100%.

Once my force gauge was fully charged, had Penelo use her FR. She got another turn right after that so I had her use her LD.

Now it was Garnet’s turn again. Had her use Lunafreya’s LD Call. This gave her 3 turns in a row. Doing this also gave Penelo 2 turns in a row.

image

First, had Garnet use her BT+ finisher. Then I used her Force Echoes twice.

It was now Penelo’s turn again. Had her use her BT+ finisher. Also had her use Raines’s LD Call. This will allow her to initiate launches for 2 turns.

After that, went straight into Penelo’s Burst+ phase. By then have 5 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 660%. Bahamut was down to 77% HP.

image

One of the effects of Penelo’s BT+ is that it will transform her HP attack into this move called Fatal Dance. This deals a lot of damage so just had Penelo spam this attack.

By the time I only have 1 turn of force time left, the HP damage bonus was at 902% and Bahamut was down to 39% HP.

image

If I had more turns of force time left, maybe Penelo would have been able to finish off the boss already.

As it was though, only managed to get Bahamut down to 23% HP by the time Penelo was about to cast Resplendence, her finishing Burst+ move.

So right after Penelo’s Burst+ mode ended, was hit with multiple attacks from the enemies due to crossing multiple HP thresholds.

image

Once Bahamut drops down to 69%, 49%, and 29% HP, he will automatically trigger Megaflare++. This deals AoE BRV + HP damage that is guaranteed to hit and will delay all chars by 2 turns. This will also give Bahamut and his minions 5 turns of the following buffs: BRV damage up and ATK up.

So Bahamut used Megaflare++ 3 times, delaying my chars by a lot. Since Raijin’s LD Call debuff was on him, he wasn’t able to deal any HP damage to my chars.

Once Bahamut drops down to 39% and 9% HP, he will trigger “Dragonstar gaining power”. This will cause his minions to self-destruct and deal AoE HP damage to the party.

If the minions currently have over 50% HP, their self-destruct attack is guaranteed to hit and will deal a lot of damage.

So my chars got hit with self-destruct but since the minions were down to 4% HP, the attack didn’t deal much damage. My chars still lost a lot of HP though.

image

Once the minions killed themselves, they were automatically resurrected again.

All the enemies got multiple turns in a row thanks to Bahamut delaying my chars. Was worried but thankfully, no one was killed.

By the time my chars finally got to move again, my force gauge was already at 90.6%. So just had Penelo finish fully charging it to 100% on her turn. Also had her heal the party.

Once my force gauge was fully charged, had Penelo activate her FR again. By then Bahamut was down to 20% HP and the force gauge of the enemies was at 96.3%.

Had Penelo spam her instant turn rate moves a few times to increase the HP damage bonus by a large amount.

Soon Bahamut was down to 5% HP. Have 3 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 743%.

image

It was Garnet’s turn. Switched her out for the friend support Terra Branford from Final Fantasy VI that I borrowed.

Then I summoned Pandemonium already. Pandemonium’s on-entry attack took Bahamut down to 3% HP.

image

The Terra that I borrowed has her Force Boards completed so she has access to her Force Echoes. Tapped on Ring of Rose and Crimson, Terra’s FR Echo. But then, just as the animation for the attack started, I suddenly got this error message.

It said “An unexpected error has occurred. Please make sure you are connected to the internet before trying again”.

Argh! Was so close to winning already. The fight was literally ending, damn it! Why’d this have to happen now? So freaking frustrating! Now I have to do this all over again. Sigh.

Advent of the Dragon King (Bahamut Raid) Shinryu Quest Take 2

This time I was able to use Garnet’s Additional Ability before ending her turn. On Penelo’s turn, had her spam her instant turn rate moves to quickly get my force gauge to 100%.

Once my force gauge was fully charged, had Penelo use her Additional Ability, Raines’s LD Call, her FR, and then her BT+ finisher.

On Sephiroth’s turn, I switched him out for the support Terra that I borrowed. This Terra isn’t on my friends list so I only have 3 turns with her. Had her use Chaos Wave, her LD ability, and then both of her Force Echoes.

image

The aforementioned moves all have instant turn rate so Terra was able to move 3 times in a row. After that, she left and Sephiroth returned.

When Sephiroth came back, have 8 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 491%. Had Sephiroth use his BT+ finisher.

In retrospect, I should have had Sephi use Raijin’s LD Call first. But I opted not to do that. That’s because doing that would have caused the number of force turns I have left to go down.

It was now Garnet’s turn. As luck would have it, she got 2 turns in a row so I didn’t need to use Lunafreya’s LD Call. The only problem was that I needed Garnet to move 3 turns in a row so I can use both of her Force Echoes and her BT+ finisher.

image

Using Lunafreya’s LD Call right now would cause the number of force turns I have left to go down though so I didn’t want to do that. So I opted to just use Garnet’s Force Echoes twice.

After Garnet, it was now Penelo’s turn. Had her go straight into her Burst+ phase. By now have 7 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 754%. Bahamut was down to 70% HP.

image

By the time Penelo was about to cast Resplendence, her finishing Burst+ move, Bahamut was down to 8% HP. Have 1 turn of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 999%.

image

Sadly, Penelo’s attack left Bahamut with 1% HP. So right after her Burst+ mode ended, was hit with Megaflare++. Without Raijin’s LD Call debuff, my chars weren’t able to survive even just one instance of this attack.

image

Which means game over. Again. Ugh. Getting really sick and tired of this fight.

Advent of the Dragon King (Bahamut Raid) Shinryu Quest Take 3

This time, on Garnet’s first turn, had her use one of her base skills, her Additional Ability and then her BT+ finisher.

Had Penelo charge the force gauge to 100%. Once my force gauge was fully charged, had Penelo use her FR, her Additional Ability, Raines’s LD Call, and then her BT+ finisher.

Switched out Sephiroth for the support Terra that I borrowed. Had Terra use her LD and 2 of her Force Echoes.

When Sephiroth returned, had him use Raijin’s LD Call, just in case. Then I used his BT+ finisher.

image

On Garnet’s turn, had her use her Force Echoes twice.

It was actually just as well that I used Raijin’s LD Call because before I could go into Penelo’s Burst+ phase, Bahamut ended up dropping below 69% HP so he used Megaflare++.

Thanks to Raijin’s LD Call debuff, my chars didn’t take any damage. I was annoyed that Bahamut ended up buffing himself though. Ah, well.

Anyway, on Penelo’s turn, had her go into her Burst+ phase. By then have 6 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 774%. Bahamut was down to 63% HP.

image

It didn’t take that long before my HP damage bonus went up to 999%. By the time I only have 1 turn of force time left, Bahamut was down to 3% HP.

image

By the time Penelo was about to cast Resplendence, Bahamut was at 1% HP and was basically dead already.

image

Penelo was able to deal 339703869 total HP damage during her Burst+ mode.

image

Right after the end of Penelo’s Burst+ phase, was being greeted by the victory screen. The battle ended on turn 10. Got the score and all the other mission requirements.

Advent of the Dragon King (Bahamut Raid) Shinryu Quest with Garnet

There’s a time-limited mission that wants us to clear the Advent of the Dragon King (Bahamut Raid) Shinryu quest with Garnet in our party and without using a friend support.

For this fight, my team was Penelo, Garnet, and Rinoa Heartilly from Final Fantasy VIII with Pandemonium as my summon. My Calls were Cid Raines’s, Raijin’s, and Lunafreya’s.

image

My Rinoa is as fully built as my Penelo. She’s currently equipped with my Level 5 of 5 Special or Unique-type Ultima Weapon.

Rinoa is a magical, non-elemental DPS who deals really good AoE damage. She’s gonna be my main DPS for this fight.

Brought a friend support Sephiroth but have no intention of bringing him into battle. Just borrowed him because he has max Force Enhancements.

Not sure if having a friend with max Force Enhancements will help make my force gauge charge faster even if they aren’t brought into battle but thought I’d give it a try anyway just in case. LOL.

Anyway, once again, had Penelo spam her skills to quickly get my force gauge fully charged to 100%.

Once my force gauge was fully charged, had Penelo activate her FR, her BT+ finisher and her Additional Ability. Also made sure to use Raijin’s LD Call, just in case.

Had Garnet use one of her base skills, her Additional Ability, her BT+ finisher, and both of her Force Echoes.

Had Rinoa use her Additional Ability, Raines’s LD Call, and her BT+ finisher. By the time I went into Rinoa’s Burst+ phase, have 7 turns of force time left and the HP damage bonus was at 662%. Bahamut was down to 79% HP.

image

One of the effects of Rinoa’s BT+ was that it will turn her HP attack into this special move called Ultima (Angel Wing). This deals a lot of damage so just had Rinoa spam this move.

Soon, the HP damage bonus was at 999%. By the time Rinoa was about to cast Wings of the Heart, her finishing Burst+ move, Bahamut was at 1% HP and was basically dead already.

image

Rinoa was able to deal 397102411 total HP damage during her Burst+ phase.

image

The battle ended on turn 8. Got the score and all the other mission requirements. This team did really well.
